Unveiled/Extension
Commissioned for The Cleveland Museum of Art’s Centennial Festival
East Wing Glass Box Gallery / 218 European Sculpture
June 25 & 26 2016

"Sound artist Jeremy Bible presents Unveiled/Extension, an 18-channel sculptural sound installation extending upon Bible's 2009 installation for CMA built from recordings of the museum's construction. Thousands of sound elements meticulously designed for the acoustic properties of the space interact across 18 small battery powered speakers to create a dynamic, spatial & ever evolving immersive sonic environment where silent elements play as large a role as the audible elements."

Unveiled/Extension exhibited to the public for a total of 20 hours on June 25th & 26th 2016 at The Cleveland Museum of Art during their Centennial & Solstice festivals in their East Wing Glass Box gallery alongside a collection of European sculptures by Auguste Rodin, Agostina Cornacchini, François-Nicolas Delaistre & Albert-Ernest Carrier-Belleuse. On Sunday June 26th at 5pm as the museum was closed the sound installation was left intentionally running until the batteries died Monday afternoon as a poetic tribute to the historic sculptures.
